UK GDPR
The UK's data protection regime, retained after Brexit and read with the Data Protection Act 2018.
UK GDPR is the United Kingdom's version of the General Data Protection Regulation, retained in UK law after Brexit and applied together with the Data Protection Act 2018. It governs how organisations collect, use and protect personal data.
For outsourcing it means having a lawful basis for processing, a Data Processing Agreement between the parties, appropriate security, and clear handling of any transfers of data. A provider serving both the UK and the EU needs to work under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR together.
