Offshore outsourcing
Outsourcing to a distant, usually lower-cost country, often with a significant time difference.
Offshore outsourcing means delivering work from a distant country, usually chosen for lower cost and a deep talent pool. It can be highly effective for well-defined, high-volume processes.
The trade-off is a larger time difference and greater distance, which put more weight on clear processes, documentation and a named person accountable for delivery. Many businesses blend offshore with nearshore or onshore to balance cost and overlap.
