Xplan Technical Architect

Own a wealth firm's Xplan platform architecture end to end and bring Iress-grade depth in house. One of two specialist roles on an advice technology transformation, paired with an Xplan Advice Process and Implementation Specialist.

  • Review and redesign the current Xplan implementation end to end, across entity structures, data dictionaries and custom fields
  • Build scalable adviser workflows and remove manual processes the platform can handle itself
  • Design and build automation using wizards, rules, events and triggers
  • Configure SOA and ROA wizards, advice templates, word merge templates and dynamic content
  • Own modelling and reporting, from Xtools+ and WealthSolver to Report Builder and management dashboards
  • Integrate Xplan with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Azure and API-based tools
  • Become the recognised internal Xplan authority and train advisers, paraplanners and operations staff
  • Introduce AI into advice workflows where it genuinely improves adviser productivity

Yr hyn rydym yn chwilio amdano

  • Minimum 5 years employed directly by Iress working specifically on Xplan, with a strong preference for 10 or more years. This is a mandatory bar, not a preference, so a candidate without direct Iress employment on Xplan does not meet it
  • Direct Iress experience in Xplan product development, implementation, consulting, training, support or enterprise delivery
  • Expert knowledge across the whole Xplan ecosystem, not a single module, able to configure, troubleshoot and redesign any process without vendor assistance
  • Experience with large financial planning groups and dealer groups
  • Able to document and transfer knowledge to advisers, paraplanners, administrators and management
  • Fully remote and global. Candidates based in Australia are preferred but not required
  • Desirable: former Iress Product Manager, Solution Consultant, Implementation Specialist or Technical Consultant, plus experience integrating Xplan with external CRM, document management and workflow tools
